Calgary is the largest city in Alberta and is pretty much known for the Calgary Stampede. The Stampede was initially created in 1884 to drum up excitement for the town. Today it continues to be one of the greatest events in Canada with over 1 million visitors each year. The town is very proud of its roots and its traditions. Stampede
The Calgary Stampede was created as an exhibition and rodeo to draw people to the town. The tradition did run into many roadblocks initially, however, it is now known around the world. The festival is 10 days long and is the pride of the town.
For bull riding, barrel racing, roping lovers, and pure cowboys, the Rodeo is the event of the year. They even created Stampede Park which has a casino, agricultural building, and a stampede grandstand.
Along with the other events of the Stampede, there is The Stampede Showband, The Calgary Stampede talent search, and Pancake breakfasts. Calgary really wants to highlight its traditions and make sure it is the best time for all visitors. The Stampede has quite an impact on the economy and tourism of the city.
Community

Atmosphere

Calgary was found to be one of the cleanest cities in the world. It’s always a plus when you walk downtown to see clean and happy streets. While you’re traveling downtown, you will notice the Skywalk as well.
The Skywalk is 16 kilometers in length and is situated 15 feet above the ground. It’s actually the world’s biggest collection of footbridges connecting various downtown buildings and stores. And, you can travel and stay out of the harsh weather.
