Shani Shingnapur “Door Deprived Village”
Shani Shingnapur is a small yet interesting village. It is located 35 kms away from Ahmednagar and is quite famous for its Shani temple. The most interesting fact about this place is that it is not the only thing this village is famous for.
The mystery of this village is that none of the houses, schools and even commercial buildings nothing has a door or even a door frame.

Moreover, the other shocking fact about this village is that addition to all that, not a single crime has ever been reported here. Locals of this village have undying faith in Lord Shani and believe that the zero crime rates in the village are because of Lord Shani.
“Mysterious and Levitating Stone” at Shivapur in Maharashtra
The Hazrat Qamar Ali Darvesh shrine is not a unusual shrine as there is something mysterious about this place which makes this shrine different from the others.
This shrine is even listed among some of the mysterious places in India and is well-known for one special rock that weighs 70 kg and can only be lifted by one means. It is believed that to lift this rock 11 people are needed and when all of them touch the rock with their forefingers and calls the name of the saint who placed curse on that rock, while following this procedure the stone rises up in the air magically.
This is the only means by which the stone can be lifted and it is said that the saint Qamar Ali has placed a curse on the rock being used of body building purpose 800 years ago.
Karni Mata Temple’s “Holy Rat” at Deshnok in Rajasthan
The Karni Mata Temple is one of the most holy places in India but only few people know that this place also has a mystery associated with it. This temple is home to over 20,000 rats.
Moreover, here at this temple no one is allowed to kill, hurt, or even scare the rats away. The rats residing in this temple are called as ‘kabbas’ and are considered highly fortunate, are worshipped, and protected and that’s why rats are here valued more than the humans.

The myth associated with this temple is that the rats are believed to be the reincarnated relatives and family members of Karni Mata and the white mice are considered as her sons.
“Bullet Baba Shrine” at Bandai in Rajsthan
This is one of the famous shrine in Rajasthan and it is believed that it protect the travelers. The most interesting fact about this shrine is that no idol or figurines are worshipped here but what the people worship here is a motorcycle.
The mystery associated with this shrine is that a man named Om Banna had died at that spot in a tragic accident while riding back to home on his bullet. A series of unusual happenings are observed here wherein the police take away the bike, empty its fuel tank, and bind it in chains, but the bullet would return to the same spot before day the end of the day.
Later a shrine is built at this place and people and travelers on this way worship the motorcycle placed here which belongs to Om Banna.
“Hanging Pillar” at Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh
It is one of the most amazing and interesting places in India. It is also an important archaeological and historical site in India; Lepakshi is well known architectural marvel and is quite popular for painting as well.
This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and it is among the most mysterious places in India because this temple houses famous floating pillar. The unsolved mystery about this temple is that there are 70 pillars out of which one is hanging in mid-air and is standing without a support.
Pilgrims visiting this temple visits this temple and passes objects under that pillar and believes that it will bring prosperity and happiness.
“Mini Desert” at Talakad in Karnataka
It is positioned on the banks of River Kaveri and is situated in the Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka. There lies a village which is buried deep in the sand. It is said that Talakad once have been home to approx 30 temples once.
Amongst them 5 of the temples are Lingams which represents the 5 faces of Lord Shiva. The mysterious fact about this place is that once a widowed devotee cursed the land which in turn had an adverse effect on the land and the village turned into a strange desert.
Moreover, River Kaveri also transforms into a swirling whirlpool.
“Twin Town” at Kodinhi in Kerala
The most amazing and mysterious fact about the extraordinary village Malappuram in Kerala is the remarkably large number of twin births which this village witnesses.
This village is known by the names ‘Kodinhi’, or the ‘Village of Twins’ and this place is one of the most mysterious places in whole India. The most surprising and shocking encounter you will witness here at this village is that as soon as you will enter this village you will start to see doubles of almost everyone.
This village house approx 200 pairs of twins and also two sets of triplets. Everyone is shocked by this mystery; however the women of Kodinhi who are married in the nearby villages also end up giving birth to twins.

“Magnetic Hill” of Leh in Ladakh

“Floating Stones” of Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu
Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu is quite famous as it is associated with the Hindu mythology. It is said that this is the place where, according to famous epic Ramayana, Lord Rama’s Vanara Sena built a bridge of floating stones from this place to all the way to Sri Lanka.
The mysterious fact about this place is that the bridge which was formed was built of stones which float on water when the name of Rama was scribbled on it. Many those types of stones are still found here.
